Reborn in the age of Bluetooth… Oxford BikeMike

BikeMike: Reborn in the age of Bluetooth®… BIKEMIKE. Oxford launched the first BikeMike in the 1980s when intercoms for riders didn’t exist.

It immediately became a best-seller for the company both in the UK and in its emerging export markets. It was a simple unit carried in the pocket with two springy cables connecting the rider and pillion, so they could communicate on the move.

In 1992 an improved Mk2 was launched with better quality and slimmer headphones.

In 2004 the miniaturised Mk3 was launched with more features and improved electronics, alongside the company’s first rider-to-rider Bike2Bike communication system.

Finally in 2006, the sleek CAD designed Mk4 landed with more functionality and better earphone technology to cater for the generation of music on the move.

The BikeMike was finally laid to rest in 2016, retailing at the time for £59.99.

A decade later, the BikeMike is back…
