South Wales developer invites riders to shape MotoBBuddy

MotoBBuddy: Independent motorcycle app seeks rider feedback ahead of a planned full release in 2027

Independent developer and motorcyclist Paul Tippet is inviting UK riders to help shape MotoBBuddy, an Android and iPhone beta app for recording motorcycle rides, planning routes and keeping in touch with riding buddies.

The latest iPhone beta includes Apple CarPlay support for compatible displays. Riders can start and save a free ride, view recording status, distance and elapsed time, see upcoming accepted rides and open Apple Maps directions to a meetup. Premium adds buddy messaging through Siri, including listening to messages and dictating a confirmed reply.

A redesigned Nav screen is also available in the iPhone beta. It combines a map with a sliding planning panel, up to three stops, motorway and toll preferences, saved routes and GPX import and export. Route weather is matched to estimated arrival times. Navigation opens in Google Maps, which can calculate a different route from the preview or an imported GPX track.

The next Android release includes Android Auto, the improved Nav screen and updated ride and buddy features. As of 27 October, it is under Google Play review and is not yet available. Its release date depends on approval.

MotoBBuddy also offers ride histories, meetup discovery and calendar export. Premium tools include a multi-bike Garage with MOT information and maintenance records, AI route planning and ride analysis, 3D ride replay, biker forums and location sharing with consenting buddies. Features and setup can differ between platforms and builds.

Core riding features are free, with optional Premium features. New testers can receive three months of complimentary Premium by registering in the app and emailing motobbuddy@gmail.com with their registered address so access can be activated.

Paul is developing the app independently in South Wales and is seeking practical feedback ahead of a full release planned for 2027. Riders can respond through the feedback option in the app or by email. Installation instructions for the UK Android beta and iPhone TestFlight beta are at www.motobbuddy.app.
