Zero Motorcycles Strengthens Global Position

Zero Motorcycles Strengthens Global Position by Adding Central Functions to its European Headquarters.

Zero Motorcycles, the global leader in electric motorcycles and powertrains, today announced the transition of key global functions from Scott’s Valley, California to the European Headquarters in the Netherlands as part of a broader strategy designed to accelerate growth and sharpen its focus on the global opportunities in the two-wheel market.  With this transition, the Netherlands will become the global headquarters for Zero Motorcycles.

This bold step reflects Zero’s continued leadership in the EV powersports category and underscores the company’s commitment to building a scalable, profitable, and sustainable future.

Strengthening the Foundation for Growth

  • Acceleration in Europe: The Netherlands headquarters will bring global teams together into one central hub in the heart of Zero’s fastest-growing EV market. Europe has emerged as Zero’s primary driver of growth. The new Global Headquarters will build on the strong performance and momentum Zero has already established in the European market.
  • US Market Strategy:  Zero remains strongly committed to the US market despite current US Tariff policies. Building on the momentum of the XB and XE launches, the company will continue investing in the people needed to win in the U.S. together with its dealer partners.
  • Continued U.S. Innovation: Scotts Valley, California, remains Zero’s long-term Innovation Hub for R&D and Engineering, driving the design and development of the industry’s most advanced electric two-wheel vehicles and powertrains from the Bay Area. Some non-engineering initiatives and departments will transfer to the new Global Headquarters, but Engineering remains in California and will continue to drive global tech leadership. for the company.
  • Investment in the Future: Zero’s primary shareholder has committed $50 million in new funding to empower the transformation, reinforcing long-term confidence in the company’s strategy and market leadership.

A Tightened Leadership Focus for the Next Era of EV

“Zero has led the electric motorcycle category for nearly two decades,” said Zero Motorcycles CEO Sam Paschel. “With Europe setting the pace for EV adoption, moving key headquarters functions into the Netherlands allows us to respond faster to customer needs and strengthen our global operations. This is about focus, discipline, and ensuring we lead the transformation of the powersports industry.”

The move enables greater agility, sharper execution, and enhanced collaboration with key partners worldwide. Zero is uniquely positioned with strong global distribution, deep technical expertise, and backed by its latest round of funding.

“Our brand, our technology, and our global reach give us unmatched credibility and capabilities” added Sam Paschel. “Tightly coordinating our global headquarters functions in Europe ensures we remain the clear leader in electric motorcycles and sets the stage for the most exciting chapter in the company’s history.”
