Can-Am celebrates electric innovation at Motorcycle Live 2025

Can-Am, an iconic brand of BRP Inc. (TSX: DOO; NASDAQ: DOOO), will celebrate a milestone year of electric innovation and exploration at Motorcycle Live 2025 (Hall 3A Stand 3D15) with the help of the Can-Am Pulse, which will be available to test in the E-Ride zone, and its Can-Am Origin bike.

As part of the celebration, Ellis Spiezia , an EV racer, content creator and advocate for electric bikes, will make an appearance on the stand on 17 November to share his experiences of both motorcycles.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak to  Ellis about his Can-Am journey as a daily rider.  In addition, he was  part of a team of riders that put the Rotax E-Power powerpack through its paces during the Can-Am Pulse and Can-Am Origin’s development, so he is well placed to discuss the technology that powers the bikes.

Alongside the bikes on display on the stand, attendees will have the opportunity to get a first-hand experience riding the 11kW Can-Am Pulse on an indoor track in the E-Ride Zone.

The Can-Am Pulse has been developed for city riding due to its compact design, which makes it agile, nimble and the perfect bike to make easy work of city traffic. The bike also has four different riding modes: Normal, Sport+, ECO, and Rain, which riders can switch between depending on the location, personal preference and weather. The Pulse also offers a unique feature, an Active ReGen system, providing the rider with enhanced control and smooth deceleration, while providing more power back to the battery. There is also the optional Pulse 73 trim available to owners, which is a tribute to Can-Am’s motorcycle roots, that adds LED lighting, LinQ gauge spoiler, and signature paint and badging.

The Can-Am Origin, which harnesses the unmistakable Can-Am DNA and vast motocross heritage with all-terrain readiness, has been developed to be equally at home on tarmac or on the trails. Its lightweight design incorporates the battery in the frame resulting in less weight and greater agility on every ride, no matter the terrain. The Can-Am Origin also features the Active ReGen system and has six drive modes that adjust the throttle response, traction control, and ABS depending on the ride. Within the six modes, there are two off-road modes that help the bike seamlessly slip from road to off-road so the toughest terrains are made easy. The optional optional “Origin 73” trim allows the rider to add LED lighting, LinQ windscreen and signature paint and badging.

To complement the bikes at the show and to highlight the breadth of Can-Am’s EV range, the new Can-Am Outlander Electric, the latest addition to its off-road vehicle line-up, will also be on display. This ATV is powered by the modular Rotax E-Power powerpack, which powers the Can-Am Pulse, Can-Am Origin and snowmobiles, and delivers 47 hp and 53 lb-ft of torque, with up to 80 km (50 miles) of range in optimal conditions. In addition, it features instant throttle response, selectable ride modes, Normal, Sport, Work, and charges from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in just 50 minutes using a Level 2 charger.

Mike Loach, BRP commercial manager, says, “We are thrilled to be leading the way in the EV bike revolution and are delighted to be back at Motorcycle Live to showcase what the future of riding looks like with the help of the Can-Am Pulse and Origin. The team is excited to talk all things EV with such an engaged audience, and we believe this show is the perfect platform from which attendees can get up close and personal with both bikes on the stand and in the e-ride zone. We will also have a guest appearance from Ellis Speizia, whose passion for EVs and first-hand insights will inspire attendees to find out more about EV bikes and their exciting opportunity.”
