Zero Motorcycles Targets New Riders With The All-New Project Ventura At Eicma 2026Project Ventura: supermoto-inspired fun, made more accessible for new and experienced riders

With Project Ventura, Zero Motorcycles brings its own electric take on supermoto to a new generation of riders. Lightweight, agile and built for the street, Ventura combines the playful spirit of a supermoto with the instant punch of electric power and an upright, confidence-inspiring riding position. It’s a category Zero riders know and love, and Ventura opens a new chapter with a more approachable, user-friendly package designed to bring the fun of electric motorcycling to more people.

A new powertrain delivers unmistakable Zero acceleration, with a sustained top speed of 105km/h (65mph) and a maximum speed of 130 km/h (80mph). Its 17-inch wheels, wrapped in high-performance road tyres, are ready for quick direction changes and confident cornering, while an estimated real-world range of 150km (93 miles) gives riders plenty of freedom for everyday adventures.

An onboard charger makes topping up at public charging stations simple and convenient, while a chassis engineered for two-up riding means the fun doesn’t have to be a solo affair. Designed to make the supermoto experience more attainable without losing its lively character, Project Ventura pairs agile, grin-inducing performance with the practicality to make riding a part of everyday life.

“When we set out to build Project Ventura, we had three guiding principles: first, build a bike so good-looking you’d want its poster above your bed. Second, make it a legitimate electric motorcycle that feels like a natural next step for the millions of riders who’ve spent the last four or five years on e-bikes and e-motos. And third, make it ridiculously fun to ride. Get those three things right, and you’ve got a shot at getting a whole new generation hooked on motorcycling.”– Jim Callahan, Chief Product and Partnerships Officer at Zero Motorcycles.

Zero Motorcycles Targets New Riders With The All-New Project Ventura At Eicma 2026LS3: European debut of Zero Motorcycles’ faster, more connected scooter

Zero Motorcycles continues to invest in its scooter line as part of its All-Access initiative, bringing electric mobility to more riders and more everyday journeys. Making its European debut at EICMA 2026, the LS3 builds on the strengths and smooth power delivery of the LS1 with greater performance, extended range, and connected technology designed for life beyond the city centre.

With a top speed of 120 km/h (74mph), a sustained speed of 102km/h (63mph) and up to 150km (93 miles) of range, the LS3 offers the flexibility to tackle urban commutes and longer journeys on suitable faster roads. Its three onboard batteries deliver a combined capacity of 5.6kWh and peak power of 12.7kW and 17hp. One battery sits beneath the seat and can be removed to provide additional storage space when needed.

Cellular connectivity links the LS3 to the Zero Motorcycles app, while Hill Hold and an enhanced ABS module support rider confidence. Heated grips and a heated seat add comfort in colder weather, and two USB-C ports keep devices charged on the go.

A top box and mid-height windscreen come as standard, with a taller windscreen available as an optional purchase. The LS3 will be offered in Sterling Silver and a striking Midnight Blue and is designed for riders holding an eligible A1 licence and above, subject to local licensing requirements.

“The beauty of two wheels is that the fun comes in all shapes and sizes. Some riders want to chase the next twisty road, others want more fun on their daily commute, and some just want an easier way to get around town. We want electric riding to have a place in all of these pursuits. That’s why we continue to diversify our lineup, from our motorcycles to our growing scooter line. EICMA is where we get to show that electric two wheels can be about so much more than getting from A to B.” – Pierre-Martin Bos, CEO of Zero Motorcycles.

Zero Motorcycles Targets New Riders With The All-New Project Ventura At Eicma 2026Street-legal XE across all markets

The XE is already street-legal in Europe and will now also be street-legal in North America. That lets riders link trails with suitable public roads where permitted, instead of trailering to the dirt. Together with new black colour and centrally mounted dashboard changes, the new XE gets:

  • New lighting package: a redesigned headlight and taillight plus an integrated flyscreen, developed by Zero Motorcycles’ in-house design team.
  • Revised gearing: an updated rear sprocket that raises the top speed by approx.10km/h (6mph) bringing total top speed up to 95km/h (60mph).
  • Wider dual-sport tyres: for a broader range of riding conditions.
  • Expected early spring 2027 globally with prices starting from £5,590

Technology & Connectivity: Built Around the Rider

New Zero App: Zero is developing a new app in response to customer feedback. It is planned for the LS3, the MY27 Street and Dual Sport models, and Ventura. Planned features include:

  • Custom ride modes: fixed modes tune power and regeneration, and an additional custom mode can be renamed and tuned for speed, power, torque and regeneration.
  • Find a charger: search for nearby charging stations filtered by speed, network and availability, compare them on a map through Apple Maps integration, and open directions before riding.
  • Ride history: optional automatic ride capture records recent trips with distance, duration and route previews.
  • Custom dashboard: choose and preview which widgets, such as speed, state of charge and clock, appear in each quadrant of the bike’s dash.
  • Charge settings: target charge level, scheduled charging, charge limit and long-term storage options in one place.
  • Feedback and support: riders can suggest changes or report issues in the app, with photos and diagnostic logs attached and their vehicle details prefilled.

Level 3 DC fast charging. As announced earlier this year, the team are also developing Level 3 DC fast charging for compatible Street and Dual Sport motorcycles, targeted for 2027. Supporting CCS in Europe and NACS in North America, the system is designed to charge compatible batteries from 20% to 80% in under 30 minutes. A retrofit option for eligible existing motorcycles is also in development.
